Now now, I’m sure Basement Jaxx had no intention of painting the actual russia in a bad light. Besides, if Russia made a silly video about american stereotypes, I don’t think anyone would complain.

I’m sure it was their intention.
Although the people in this video are not real americans, you would also be annoyed.

There’s no such thing as a seterotype… The Mighty Boosh has allready taught me that Russian bears do indeed dance. I didn’t know that a balalaika sounds like a banjo though. I also didn’t know large balalaika’s have small men inside them (playing smaller balalaikas). However, I did know that Russians wear 5 fur coats at a time. I’m in the process of growing a moustache and buying a panzer tank so I can pick up hot girls at the bar.

One point, I know the person who helped direct this video, and here are two points I’d like to make:
1. It is WHOLLY aimed at british viewers who appreciate the tongue-in-cheek nature of this video ( if or one think it is very funny, like all basement jaxx videos)
2. Who cares about stereotypes, Do you think russians care that Rendez-vu is stereotyping mexicans? Of course not, and vice-versa.
Don’t like Don’t watch if you ask me…
Also this song is amazing ,the album, unfortunately, is not.
